From pasta to bruschettas, Mercure Hyderabad KCP’s new Thursday buffet has it all

Bringing the best of Italy to the City of Nizams, Mercure Hyderabad KCP has introduced an all-new dinner buffet, ‘Stile Italiano Thursday’ at their fine-dining restaurant, Cayenne. Popular for its fine-dining experience and palatable food, the new menu offers more than 20 new dishes including six desserts.“After months of research, we curated the best of Italian flavours that suit the city’s palate. The ingredients used are fresh, while the sauces and breads are in-house,” the chef says.

On his recommendation, we first try an array of bruschettas including Basil Cherry Tomato, Mushroom, Herbed Tomatoes, paired with some red wine. Out of the three, mushroom bruschetta wins us over in the first bite, courtesy the crispy base and sizzling hot mushrooms. 

Vegetable Lasagne


Moving on to the main course, we taste the Vegetable Lasagne. Generously layered with veggies, sauce, cheese and topped with mozzarella, this dish is perfectly baked and makes for a satisfying meal in itself. The other variants in the entrée include Grilled Chicken Marsala, Gnocchi and Ratatouille crêpes.

The buffet also includes a live counter that dishes out varieties of pasta (Orecchiette, Pumpkin Ravioli, linguini) and pizzas (Fungi salsicca, Pizza Sicilian and Margarita). One can choose from a colourful line-up of sauces including tomato cream, spinach basil pesto and Aglio-e-olio with herb crumbs. With little room for dessert, we take bites of Almond Marmalade Pie and Chocolate and Peanut Bar, both of which are creamy and delicious.
