While the new Google Assistant feature has amazed a lot of people, it has also drawn controversy over ethical concerns but Google is already trying to fix it. The technology giant in a statement has clarified that the experimental system will have disclosure built-in.

The statement also goes on to state that it will apparently introduce itself as artificial intelligence before it carries out a said task for the user. This comes after questions were raised on the morality of the technology developed. Google also said that they understand the value of discussion around Google Duplex that transparency in the technology is important. Google Duplex is the human sounding Al assistant that can make phone calls for you which were demonstrated earlier this week.

The most impressive thing was that the person on the receiving end of the call didn't seem to suspect they were talking to Al and its a huge technological achievement for Google. That led to criticism by the likes of technology sociologist Zeynep Tufekci on Twitter.
