Foo Fighters is known to pull up fans to rock out with them on stage. During their set, last Friday night at Bourbon & Beyond Fest in Louisville, Kentucky, he chose a special guest to play with the band—Revel, the eight-year-old son of Scott Ian.

Ian is the founding member and rhythm guitarist of one of the Big Four heavy metal icons, Anthrax.

Foo Fighters played their track Everlong from their sophomore album The Colour and the Shape with the kid.

“Because it’s a special occasion, I’m going to bring out someone who’s going to play guitar with us,” Grohl told the audience. He then went on to introduce the little guy as  “one of my favourite guitar players of all time.”

Scot Ian later posted a video of the show on Instagram with the caption, “There goes my hero! Proudest dad moment ever?”
