Arnab Goswami's signature phrase during his stint at Times Now, ‘Nation wants to know,’ is now the talk of the town. According to reports, Goswami, who quit the Times Group on November 1, 2016 to start the yet-to-be launched Republic TV, was sent a legal notice asking him not to use the famous phrase.

His new channel has been making the headlines since the news broke out earlier this year. However, the launch of the channel has been delayed several times due to unspecified reasons. The Times Group in their statement has mentioned that the phrase ‘Nation wats to know’ belongs to their intellecual property.

In response to this allegation by his former company, Goswami publised an audio clip on Republic TV's YouTube channel. However, Goswami has not named the media group that sent him the notice. Goswami also went on to say that this media group has been the reason behind the delay of Republic TV's launch.
