Sonu Nigam has been in troubled waters since early Monday morning when he took on Twitter to post about Azaan.
Nadeem Rana, head of a local religious organisation, Aurangabad, submitted a written complaint against Nigam at the Jinsi Police Station, an official told the media.
“We have received a written complaint against the singer. However, no offence has been registered so far in this regard,” Amitesh Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Aurangabad addressed the media.
“We are studying this complaint and further course of action will be decided accordingly,” he said.
Sonu Nigam, on Monday had posted a series of Tweets where he spoke about 'forcing religion' in India and termed it ‘Gundagardi’.
