Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is being praised for his role as Sanjay Dutt in the biopic Sanju but just a day before the release a complaint has been filed against the actor and Anushka Sharma for a dialogue in the trailer. The complaint relates to derogatory remarks made against sex workers in the trailer by the two actors in different scenes. While the first one is when Ranbir Kapoor says that he has had 350 girlfriends and to be precise 308 without counting prostitutes.
According to several media reports, the complaint has been filed by an activist Gaurav Gulati who states that the dialogues said by Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma were outrageous and cheap in the movie Sanju. It also went on to state that all the dialogues used in the trailer are anti-women and show low mindset of the movie makers towards the women fraternity. Interestingly, this is not the first complaint against the movie. Earlier this month, a complaint was filed about the toilet leakage scene in the film as it would showcase the jail authorities in bad light.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Sanju will be releasing in theatres on June 29 and will see Paresh Rawal playing Sunil Dutt and Manisha Koirala as Nargis. It will also see Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Karishma Tanna, Jim Sarbh and Vicky Kaushal.
