Rapper Mac Miller dies at 26

American rapper Mac Miller has reportedly been found dead at his home yesterday. He was 26. Los Angeles officials confirmed that he had been found unresponsive in his house in the Studio City neighbourhood. The cause of death was an overdose, according to reports. Miller’s family confirmed the death in a statement and called him “a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans.”

The Pittsburgh-born rapper developed an immense following over the course of five successful albums. He released his latest record, Swimming, earlier this year and was due to go on tour. He released his first mixtape when he was 15. And his debut album, Blue Slide Park, became the second independent hip-hop record to top the Billboard 200 chart.
