Ever since Priyanka Chopra announced her engagement with singer Nick Jonas, actress and Priyanka’s sister Parineeti Chopra has expressed her happiness and best wishes through adorable Instagram posts. This time, however, the actress took to Twitter to say that she will be following the Indian tradition of stealing the to-be brother-in-law’s shoes in the wedding ceremony. For the uninitiated, the joota chupai ritual is an inseparable part of the big fat desi wedding. When the groom takes off his shoes before entering the mandap, the bride’s sisters steal and promise to return them only if he gives them a handsome amount in return. Although the Quantico actress hasn’t announced anything on the wedding date, the preparations have already seen to have begun from the bride’s side.

Priyanka and Nick took to Instagram to share an adorable click from their engagement ceremony and end the rumours on Saturday. While Nick introduced her as the future Mrs Jonas, the Bollywood star said that she was taken with all her heart and soul. According to reports, the couple is planning for a wedding by the end of this year.
