First picture: Shuttlers Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap wear Sabyasachi for reception in Hyderabad

The wedding season continues as shuttlers Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony on December 14. The couple took to social media to post pictures from the wedding both calling it #bestmatchofmylife.

On Sunday, the newlyweds hosted a grand reception for their family, friends, celebrities and media friends. Saina and Kashyap chose rich indigo Sabyasachi lehenga and sherwani respectively.

For the wedding, Saina was wearing a violet and cream lehenga, which was designed by Hyderabad-based designer Vaishali Agarwal. Kashyap, on the other hand, was dressed in a pink bandhgala and kurta. 

The two had earlier posted many pictures of themselves inviting prominent celebrities in Hyderabad including actor Chiranjeevi, Governor ESL Narasimhan and their coach Pullela Gopichand. Saina reportedly had said that they became closer after training and travelling together for several years. She also revealed that her parents already knew about Kashyap as she spent the most amount of time with him.
