The Kardashian-West family household welcomed their new daughter via surrogate on Monday. Kim confirmed the birth on her website stating that the newborn arrived at 12:47 a.m and weighed seven pounds, six ounces. The couple is yet to announce the name of the baby.
Due to her history of Placenta Accreta in both of her previous pregnancies, the family chose surrogacy for their third baby. Kim had already confirmed the sex of the little one on the Ellen Degeneres Show in December.
"Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl, Kardashian wrote. "We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister," Kim said.
While the couple has remained silent about the pregnancy. Kim discussed the challenges of surrogacy on her reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
