Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex is suing a British publisher for publishing a handwritten letter she sent to her estranged father. Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex has also come in strongly in support of his wife, condemning the way the press has been treating her, saying he could no longer be a “silent witness to her private suffering”. Stressing on the vitality of “objective, truthful reporting”, he attacked media houses for “waging campaigns against individuals with no thought to the consequences”.

Prince Harry also highlighted how the publisher has been constantly attacking Meghan for the last nine months. He expressed his apprehension over "deepest fear is history repeating itself", adding that the events remind him of what happened to his mother Diana, Princess of Wales. “Through this action may not be the safe one, it is the right one. I’ve seen what happens when someone I love is commoditised to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person. I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces.” he said in the statement.

The couple were on a 10-day tour in South Africa, visiting Tembisa township, near Johannesburg, trying to understand youth unemployemnt and ways to tackle it.
