Ranveer Singh is having his best time. Ever since he debuted in films with Band Baaja Baaraat, the actor has been delivering blockbuster performances in films such as Dil Dhadakne Do, Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, not to forget his latest release Simmba, which has already made over Rs 200 crore at the box office. But the actor does reveal that it was not a cake walk for him.
In a recent interview given to a leading publication, Ranveer revealed some of the shocking rumours that he has heard while taking his first steps into B-Town.
“There were rumours that my father gave Rs 10 lakh to Aditya Chopra to get me launched. That really hurt me, it brought my whole upbringing into question. How can you write something so false that I had never said? I had genuinely struggled and proud of what I achieved. Young actors will message me and ask, "Yo bro, I can cough up the money, tell me what I have to do." And I have to say that these rumours are not true, stop believing that!”
On the work front, Ranveer is all set for the release of Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy.
