A day after Manikarnika co-director Krish spoke about how the film changed after Kangana Ranaut’s involvement, writer Apurva Asrani has come out and supported him. The writer also criticised Hansal Mehta and Kangana Ranaut for ruining Simran, which he claims also led to his breakdown while working on the film.

In a tweet, the Simran writer reacting to Krish’s statement about the entire film being done in poor taste said if Hansal had to stand up at the time, both of them would have weathered the storm. Apurva spoke about the various issues on his timeline on Monday, and alleged that Kangana Ranaut has a very brutal game where she plays the victim and wins your trust. However, after you give your all and sacrifice all your other work because she is lovely, and when you have finally nurtured and created the film, she throws you out. He went on to add that the actor even goes on to press and trolls to ‘character assassinate’ people.

Going a step further, Apurva even told Krish that Kangana will actually try to run a ‘vicious smear campaign’ to destroy his credibility. He also went on to say that Kangana waited for him to complete Simran and even told him how much she loved the film but after colluded with the producer and threw him out of it. In the very same thread, he alleged that an ‘insecure’ Kangana started deleting other actors’ lines on set and made it all about her.
