Starring Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapoor, among others, Kalank is one of the most awaited movies this year.

As the movie's first song Ghar More Pardesiya released, Alia has been receiving a lot of praise for her performance. In a recent interview with a leading publication, Madhuri and Alia spoke about their experience working with each other.

Speaking about Alia, Madhuri said, “It was wonderful to work with Alia. She has amazing energy; she reminds me so much of myself. She’s so professional, always on time, doing her job well and just wants to finish and go home. Alia comes with absolutely no baggage and that’s a wonderful trait. What a brilliant actress she is! I don’t think we have seen someone as terrific as her in a long time. The choices she’s making are so powerful and meaningful. Alia has definitely changed the whole ball game.”

Alia, who was full of praise for Madhuri said that she was relieved that she didn’t have to dance alongside Madhuri in her Kalank song Ghar More Pardesiya.

“Madhuri ma’am is so sweet. Before I had begun the shoot, I was extremely nervous. Standing in the same frame, even thinking of matching up to her is impossible. But believe me, she made it so easy for all of us. She is lovely and we had a fantastic time shooting together. There’s Ghar More Pardesiya where I’m dancing around her and she’s thankfully not dancing. Otherwise, I would have just died.”

Directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala, Kalank is set to release in April.
