Filmmaker Hansal Mehta, the man behind films like Shahid, Aligarh, Omerta and Simran reacted to the Ayodhya Verdict saying people need to respect the Supreme Court judgement.

He tweeted, "Waqt lagta hai, par ho jaata hai. The Supreme Court has delivered it's verdict on a longstanding dispute over land title. Respect the law, accept the verdict and ignore those who will try to gain political capital or TRPs from this. It really is time to move on."

After seven decades of a protracted legal battle, the Supreme Court on Saturday pronounced the judgment in Ayodhya case. The court ordered the Central Government to formulate a scheme for setting up of a trust and hand them over the disputed site for the construction of the temple. It also said that a suitable alternative plot of land measuring five acres at Ayodhya will be given to Sunni Wakf Board. Soon after the verdict, reactions came out.

While some celebrated the verdict, most requested people to accept it while urging them to maintain peace.
