“It was a wonderful experience to work with the entire cast and crew, especially the kid Soumyodipta. We often make fun of people, who stammer, without looking much into their actual lives. We force them to live in another world by alienating them from the mainstream. The movie aims at spreading the message that every person, irrespective of their disabilities, should be accepted with open arms. Soumyodipto, the kid delivers a powerful performance that will leave a lasting impression with the viewers,” says  Abhimanyu Mukherjee, director of the film.

Soham and Srabanti, a popular pair, were last seen together last year in the movie Piya Re, a romantic drama, also directed by Abhimanyu.

“This is for the first time I am playing a character that stammers. I am usually associated with romcoms but for the past few years I have consciously tried to do films that challenge me as an actor. I have worked with Abhimanyu before and I am sure this move will click with the audience,” feels Soham.

“Our pairing has been liked by the audience before, too but Googly will see a very different us. We play roles that audience will relate to and the story line is unusual. I feel content is very important nowadays and form that aspect, Googly scores a perfect ten,’ tells Srabanti. Both Soham and Srabanti play characters with speech problems and how a crisis change their otherwise happy life is the crux of the story. Produced by Surinder Films Pvt. Ltd, Googly’s music has been composed by popular composer Savvy.

“The story of Googly focuses on the emotions of two people, who always felt cornered in the society due to their speech problems. The child actor is genius in Googly’s role,” says Nispal Singh of Surinder Films.
