Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
Perhaps one of the most important shows of our times, the show has completely changed the way we approach mental health, and tells us what it really means when we use the term ‘crazy’. Starring a fantastic Rachel Bloom, as the anxious, frustrated and love-struck protagonist Rebecca Bunch, the musical comedy was made for binge-watching.

Russian Doll
Starring Natasha Lyonne and created by, Leslye Headland, Amy Poehler, and of course, Lyonne herself, the show took us by storm, when it released earlier this year. Russian Doll tells the story of a 36-year-old video game designer who keeps dying, and re-living her 36th birthday night. She thinks she is stuck in an ongoing time loop, until she finds there’s more to the reality than she thinks. One of the fiercest shows to have ever been made, Russian Doll makes for the perfect marathon session.

I Love Dick
This show is like an actual piece of movement art. Set in the interesting academic community of Marfa, Texas, the show follows a filmmaker named Chris (played by a brilliant Kathryn Hahn),
and her obsession with a middle-aged artist named Dick (Kevin Bacon). The show is based on the Chris Kraus novel of the same name, and addresses female desire and complexities of creating art, like no show created before. If you’re looking for an intense watch, this is the way to go.

Girlboss
Based on the real-life story of Sophia Amoruso, the creator of the American brand Nasty Gal, the show features a broke but ambitious young woman who grows tired of the 9-to-5 routine, and decides to sell vintage clothing online. Sophia soon becomes a businesswoman and has an awakening about what it means to be her own boss. The ideal watch if you’re finally ready to open up that start-up.

If you’re looking for something light-but-significant to watch as your popcorn cooks, put on Murphy Brown. The show about a celebrated journalist, trying to navigate the political landscape of the Trumpian era is one of our favourite comedies. Big Little Lies
Do we really need to give you a reason to watch a show that has Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, and is set to feature Meryl Streep from its next season? Yeah, we didn’t think so. What happens when women enter the boxing ring, so often dominated by men? The show based on the ‘80s phenomenon Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, made waves when it was firstreleased, owing to its vibrant premise and grit. If you don’t advocate violence, you have all the more reason to watch this show.
