After a very long time, Tolly star Dev is going to be seen in a very different kind of movie. Last seen in Password that released this Puja, Dev's looks in the trailer of his upcoming film, Sanjhbati, makes us really drool over his innocent and charming act.
An out and out family drama, filmmaker duo Leena Gangopadhyay and Saibal Banerjee's Sanjhbati is another tale of relationships, but with a difference. Produced by Atanu Raychaudhuri's Bengal Talkies, this film is about two aged neighbours Sulekha and Chana Babu played by veteran actors Lily Chakraborty and Soumitra Chatterjee respectively.
Both the aged neighbours live alone since their children are settled abroad and it's a story of how at the fag end of their lives, they become completely dependent on their domestic helps Chadu and Phuli, who have almost become like a family. The role of Chadu is played by Dev and Paoli Dam plays the beautiful Phuli.
Leena and Saibal earned appreciation from the audience and the critics alike with their debut film Maati starring Adil Hussain and Paoli Dam that released last year. Known for their repertoire in making relationship movies, the duo is back with another heart-warming tale in Sanjhbati that is set for release this December 20.
