Google Stadia is coming. Essentially, it is a platform that lets anyone play any game, on any screen, at any time—regardless of what hardware equipment you have. In theory, from November 19 Stadia can wipe out the need for expensive consoles like PlayStation or Xbox.

However, the consoles aren’t backing down. Here's our list of best video games across gaming platforms:

Need for Speed: Heat
This game takes drivers to Palm City. It’s a brand-new open world where the ultimate street racer versus cop fantasy occurs. Expect classic features like expressive customisation, authentic urban car culture, and an immersive narrative. Out on November 8 across platforms.

Red Dead: Redemption II
This one’s from the makers of the GTA games and is the first Red Dead game to come to PC. On Redemption II, which is already out for consoles, and is already considered Game of The Year by many fans. Engage yourself in the game as the Arthur Morgan gang and the Van der Linde gang desperately try to outrun the law. Expect bonus Bounty Hunting Missions, Gang Hideouts, weapons and even a trip to the Caribbean from the Wild West. Releases on November 5 on PC.

Death Stranding
Hideo Kojima, the man behind the uber-popular Metal Gear franchise is back with a game that’s produced, written, directed and designed by him. The game is said to have a mysterious otherworldly plot with a star-studded cast. Death Stranding, in which The Walking Dead fame actor Norman Reedus plays the protagonist, comes to PS4 on November 8.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
If you’re a fan of the film franchise, look no further. This game follows the events in Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. As a young Jedi Padawan, your quest is to rebuild the Jedi Order. Sign up for some lightsaber combat, look for guidance from a former knight, a pilot, and a droid in a story-driven third-person adventure. Play it on the Xbox 1, as it releases on November 15.
