A year after the second season of 13 Reasons Why ended, Netflix has released a new trailer of season 3.
The Netflix Original show adapted from bestseller 2007 YA novel by Jay Asher, was renewed for a third season, the trailer of which dropped just last night. The central plot of the third season was unveiled: Who killed Bryce Walker?
Bryce is dead and the questions surrounding his death will take the season in the direction of a murder mystery. The third season also introduces a new character, Ani (played by newcomer Grace Saif), who’s shown in the teaser.
The season 3 summary reads: “Eight months after preventing Tyler from committing an unthinkable act at Spring Fling, Clay, Tony, Jessica, Alex, Justin, and Zach find ways to shoulder the burden of the cover-up together while helping Tyler move toward recovery. But when the aftermath of a tumultuous Homecoming game culminates in the disappearance of a football player, and Clay finds himself under police scrutiny, it’s up to a shrewd outsider to steer the group through an investigation that threatens to lay bare everyone’s deepest secrets. The stakes are raised in this riveting third season of 13 Reasons Why, as the consequences of even the most well-intended actions can alter a life forever.”
If you haven’t already watched the show, start now on Netflix - two seasons, 13 episodes each. The new season will be out on August 23.
