Round up of the week's top dos
From food to fashion, this week was all about new launches. First up, was the opening of Pappa Roti, an international coffee chain for buns and beverages. The aroma of freshly baked goodies wafting through the air delighted foodies even as they were welcomed into the eatery by owners, Nitin and Kunal Jethwani.
From hot coffee to haute couture – socialite Pinky Reddy unveiled the leading bridal designer label, Jade Couture in the city on Friday. Creative head of the brand, Monica Shah, and Karishma Swali, were spotted at the do. Pinky sure had a busy weekend as she was also spotted at the unveiling of the flagship store of Ankur and Priyanka Modi’s label AM:PM in Banjara Hills. She looked resplendent in a red sari and was flanked by her daughter-in-law Veena and daughter Mallika. The store was inaugurated by actress Namrata Shirodkar and designer Shilpa Reddy.
Moving on to some spa sessions – on Sunday afternoon, make-up artist Neeru Mohan launched her salon Bellissimo at West Marredpally. IPS Tejdeep Kaur Menon along with actress Shanoor Sana graced the occasion. The week came to an end with the staging of the play, 1857:Turrebaz Khan, at Taj Falaknuma. The play had premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, London, earlier this year. It was a private event hosted by Mohammad Ali Baig and was attended by eminent bureaucrats like Ajay Misra, Jayesh Ranjan and politico Khaleequr Rahman, who were seen bonding over food and drink post the performance.
