Christian Louboutin is back in the city with its summer/spring 2019 collection, Black Tie, at The Loft in Quest Mall. The two-day exhibition that ends tomorrow, March 2, brings a striking collection of footwear for men and women as well as bags and accessories from the French designer’s den. Hosted by Shivika Goenka and Pallavi Khaitan, the bespoke collection, dominated by spikes and metallic hues are appealing to the spirited soul. “We are excited to have such an international luxury brand here with us. We got a great response last time and at Quest we try to keep getting different brands and labels. So there is always something fresh for people,” says Shivika, who informs that whenever time arises Quest will be happier to have Christian Louboutin.
Metallic and spiky
With a high dose of bling, the seductive stilettos in metallic, graffiti print, leopard print and more can easily call the shots. The tonal spikes on the pointed toes and even straps are edgy and dramatic. For those who love wedge heels, Christian Louboutin’s Madmonica sandals are vivacious gleaming with pyramid studs with a 120mm platform wedge.
For men too, the options are aplenty. You can choose from comfortable sneakers to luxe loafers with embellishments to make a statement. Toned spikes on the shoes are super stylish to say the least. Among accessories a small collection of belts are fast vanishing from the rack.
In bags, one can find the iridescent tote bag with Banquise calfskin that’s embellished with Snow-white Loubisky. For those who love bling, the Loubiclutch sling bag is crafted from a gold-tone Liège Pépetie fabric smothered in tonal spikes. The flat yet spacious bag can also be carried like a clutch and is available in silver as well. Expect some timeless and elegant bags as well for a classier look. “We got a very good response last night and it’s a great platform for the brand to meet and showcase its collection,” says Anjali Gaewkar, country head, Christian Louboutin.
