If something’s good enough for the Jonas brothers, Janhvi Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut, it’s good enough for us. Mumbai-based contemporary footwear brand Fizzy Goblet has long been Bollywood’s go-to favourite when it comes to funky juttis - if you haven’t spotted them on Sara Ali Khan’s gym runs, you must have seen Nick ‘dulha’ Jonas wear it to his Jodhpur wedding to Priyanka Chopra.

The label, which came out in 2014, has a new capsule collection out this festive season, which is a collaboration with jewellery label Tribe Amrapali, and features a range of Charm Juttis. Fizzy Goblet’s last collection Fizzy Kolha featured a quirky line-up of Kolhapuris, named after different kind of bubbly drinks, and received rave reviews.

But Fizzy Goblet is not just about fusion juttis, but the label also designs handcrafted embroidered loafers, brogues and slippers. We caught up with Laksheeta Govil, the mind behind Fizzy Goblet, to catch us up on her work:

Tell us how the collaboration with Tribe Amrapali came about?

While I was shopping for my wedding, the first jewellery store I went to was Amrapali in Jaipur; and that is when my fascination for jewellery transferred to Tribe. I absolutely admire how they make contemporary jewellery in heritage designs, making it so accessible for the modern Indian woman.

That’s also basically the philosophy behind Fizzy Goblet, which is why this collection is very dear to me. I believe we carry our talismans with us and they are inspired by these good luck charms, and we hope that the Fizzy Goblet x Tribe charm juttis can be your talismans too.

Can you tell us about the line-up?

The Charm jutti collection with Tribe is an amalgamation of the two most loved accessories - jewellery and shoes! The collaboration combines our design sensibilities to create a range of juttis featuring charms and allow you to have a personalised touch to your footwear.

We wanted to promote the ideology that tradition and modernity can go hand in hand which allows the modern woman to express her roots through the lens of a 21st-century lifestyle. The limited-edition juttis are the perfect expression of our vision - combining traditional designs with contemporary times by incorporating the perfect essences of our childhoods with the dainty charm motifs like the puppets and marigolds.

Your Fizzy Kolha range was widely popular. Tell us about them

The range has been recreated with a twist, each variant is named after a fun and fizzy drink like Macchiato Shot, Mexican Tequila,  Manhattan Kolha, Bali Bellini, and Blue Curacao to name a few. This is a revamped classic Indian shoe so it can be paired with any wardrobe staple - be it denims, Kurtis or a casual dress. It will instantly up the style quotient and add a pop of life to your outfit, making it look unique.
