Chola inspiration

The Chola collection is inspired by temple art of the Deccan dynasty and its silhouettes are simple, yet classy. Beautiful motifs of Mangalgiri temple art find an expression on the long kurtas and divided skirt in black and white. The ensemble stands out for the minimal and strategic use of the motifs tapered with zari and bead work, in the sleeves, corners of the stoles and necklines. Comfortable fabrics like cotton, linen, chanderi and others have been used as a canvas for the Chola collection. We particularly liked the wrap cotton kurta with the motif, on the left hand side pocket, like a four-inch brooch. The divided linen skirt had gorgeous volume and makes for chic pairing with the kurta.

Pastels for summer

The Pezuri collection’s pastel shades of pink and peach make for a perfect summer outfit. Its identity stems from Pashmina in Kashmir. What defines this collection is the floral embroidery that exudes freshness and sophistication. The clustered tiny blooms decorate the neckline, bodice and even hem of the palazzo pants. Delicate French knot embroidery with gold and silver spins makes for a timeless tale on silk and velvet blends. A plain matte fuschia pink trouser is opulent yet very contemporary.

Regal threads inspired by the Mughal era give strong character to The Zari collection. The fine craftsmanship of the zardosi has been adapted intelligently on modern silhouettes. Subtlety is the key here. A shirt dresses in pistachio green with checkered zari embroidery in the silhouette will make a resounding statement. The bell sleeves in the chanderi dress added to the entire look. For those who love jackets, this collection also has a pistachio green long jacket that can be teamed with any solid colour kurta.

Starting price for party wear at `10,000.
