Minawala's new collection is all about millennial brides
Known for traditional jewels, Mumbai-based Minawala has launched their latest fusion wedding collection for modern brides, ‘Ancient Charms: Bridal Souvenir by Minawala’. These bridal accessories, available online on their website, are crafted especially with the millennials in mind.
The gold statement
These accessories might be rooted in ancient tradition and have a vintage touch, but the designs are considerably contemporary and light; their lightweight chandelier earrings for instance. That apart, one can also pair their neckpieces with Indo-Western wear. The jewellery at Minawala is crafted with 18-carat gold and encrusted with diamonds, emeralds, rubies and pearls. Hence, they could add a dash of colour to even staid outfits and amp up the glamour quotient.Shehzad Zaveri, creative director of the brand says, “My daughter’s wedding and the kind of jewellery she wanted as a millennial is what inspired the collection”. They also interact extensively with their customers who come for a consultation to understand the requirements of modern brides.
Layer it up
The top buys from their collection include layered necklaces. These neck pieces offered are made in such a way that they cover the entire torso, adding sheen to even pastel lehengas that are in vogue at the moment. To up the fusion fashion quotient, the brides can also opt for the chokers and single line collars are trending these days. “The blend of Indian craft and international technique make them unique,” says Shehzad. The top buys for the brides-to-be include choker sets, danglers, statement rings, sleek bangles, bracelets and pendant sets from their wedding jewellery assortment. And that’s not all; the fussy brides might want to opt for the bespoke services they offer as well.
