High-end designer brand Glass Sutra unveils its edgy jewellery edit, Gappei
Known for its classy and ritzy products including lightings, wall art, abstracts, decorative limited edition pieces, Glass Sutra unveils its first-ever, out-of-the-box jewellery edit called Gappei.
The handcrafted, bespoke collection of glass jewellery meant for the confident women, is an amalgamation of bold approach, beautiful craftsmanship and simple design sensibility. Reshmi Dey founder of Glass Sutra -- a comprehensive public access glass art studio -- who is known for her bespoke, handcrafted and functional art, tells us that this unique range melds playfulness with fresh attitude and offers pieces that are inspiring and edgy.
"It's a full line of mostly clear blown and formed glass pieces, inspired by transparency and impermanence, featuring new shapes and coloured glass. The Raw material (glass) is distinctively table blown and handcrafted to create an exclusive collection composing of special cotton yarns from Assam and metal craftsmanship from Kolkata besides other various materials," tells Reshmi.
Reshmi states that this collection is for those women who do not follow the crowd. "She is independent, isolated, unique, bizarre. She is bold, courageous, fierce, yet delicate at the same time. She is a warrior," she adds
These beautiful handcrafted pieces are produced in-house using Pyrex glass rods and are further mingled with alloy, sterling silver and stainless steel. A limited-edition, all the pieces are handmade with no two pieces alike.
