WHEN ALL THE leading millennial icons of the generation start flaunting their love for one label, it behoves us to explore things further. Ahmedabad-based indie jewellery label Aaree Accessories has been on the frontlines of almost every photocall, starry appearance and TV show for a while now. From Priyanka Chopra to Sonam Kapoor, everyone’s in love with the label’s stunning and quirky fusion-inspired statement pieces, which are so distinct in terms of silhouettes. Aashini Adani, the designer behind the label, reveals that Aaree Accessories has only been around for three years, yet has found a significant connect with bona fide fashionistas and sartorial trailblazers from Bollywood. “It did happen fast, but it was quite organic. After my pieces were featured on some television shows, stylists would approach me and eventually, my label found a space within Bollywood,” Aashini tells us.

The best thing about Aaree’s numbers is that the wearability—which is so rare in festive, statement pieces. Just this month, Dangal girl Sanya Malhotra was spotted wearing a fantastic pair of tiered floral chandbalis from Aaree, while Ankhon Dekhi actor Taranjit Kaur wore a pair of tasselled earrings by the brand to the Cannes Film Festival. One of the label’s bestselling ranges is their ghungroo collection. The line-up features stunning wide silver bracelets featuring dainty ghungroo detailing (recently worn by Karisma Kapoor at a Jaipur event), ghungroo rings, earrings, double jhumkis etc. Aashini tells us that she has always aspired to cater to the easy wearloving clientele so that they can go for hassle-free and individualistic statements . Aaree’s jewellery is designed to enhance the mood of any casual wear look. “Most of my pieces can flawlessly fit into the daily wear setting, and can even be part of your workwear. And that’s what we’ve always wanted, lightweight statement pieces which are easy to carry and have an edge,” reveals Aashini. Aree’s numbers are an incredible blend of classic and trendy, as Aashini reveals she wasn’t ready to compromise on either of those traits. You’ll discover the quirkiest metallic hoops featuring onyx or rose quartz, so perfect for spring day wear.

On the other hand, you’ll also find some heavy-set pieces, like oversized floral studs and geometric neckpieces. The label has a staggering millennial following, and Aashini reveals that the youngsters are always looking for something that sets them apart. “My younger customers want new stuff now and then. But, since they also want to repeat the numbers and go for mix and match as well, they cling to a classic element. Initially, people would buy one piece of jewellery for each garment, but things are changing. I think people do want to splurge on experimental numbers and explore their options. In fact, some of my clients choose the bling first and the ensembles later, so it fits the mood of their statement pieces,” says Aashini, who’s currently working on a new festive wear collection. Aaree Accessories also offers a seriously economical collection, which makes us want to go on a splurging spree. Their range starts from `750 and goes up to `4,500, while the silver range goes up to `25,000. You can place an order online on their Facebook or Instagram pages.
