First look: MasterChef Tamil's opening episode saw an impressive Vijay Sethupathi, 14 contestants take home an apron 

The first episode of MasterChef Tamil saw 24 contestants from across Tamil Nadu engaging in an intense cook-off to win their place in the show. From Pongal Cheesecake to Deconstructed Chocolate Paan on a platter, 14 aspiring home cooks went home with an apron and are now set to battle it out against each other in a period of over 28 episodes in an intense competition. Hosted by Vijay Sethupathi, expect complex tasks and sophisticated cooking techniques in the weeks to come with cuisines from around the world. Popular chefs Koushik S, Aarthi Sampath and Harish Rao form the judging panel.
