That shouldn’t come as a surprise since the young husband-wife team behind this venture are new parents and tell us that when they were expecting their first born last August, they scouted Chennai for unique kids room ideas, and didn’t find what they were looking for. “That’s when I decided to address this gap in the market,” says Vishesh Sachdev, who along with his wife Vishwa launched the 6,500 sq feet store two weeks back.
In their early 30s, Vishesh, an entrepreneur and Vishwa, who used to be a fashion blogger, have come up with a whole new collection of kids’ decor, where the highlight is that their store is the only one in the city to be a franchisee of the Turkey-based Cilek, one of the biggest kids’ furniture brands in the world. In each themed-bed, there are different designs to choose from depending on one’s budget. Anticipating that kids often grow out of their beds, the couple offers adaptable furniture such as new born convertible beds and bunk beds that can be separated. “As a parent, I understand how difficult it feels to keep spending on expensive furniture since kids grow fast,” says Vishesh.Vishesh, who has been travelling for two years to source and hand-pick pieces across India to put together this new place tells us that they are planning to
bring additional elements to kids decor like the bed linen, lamps, wallpaper, wall decals, curtains and sheers, while offering a one-stop solution for the entire room and partnering with international brands.
