One of the countries leading ethnic apparel and furnishing retailer, Fabindia is scaling up its stores to experience centres to provide the customer with an immersive shopping experience. With a plan to unveil close to forty centres by March 2020, the brand launched its 18th experience centre in Coimbatore. Spread across 9,349 sq ft, the store is designed with an aim to allow visitors and customers to experience the ethos of the brand and provide a unique interactive shopping experience with new additions like Fabcafe, an interior design studio, organic wellness centre, alteration studio and kids zone.
Old is gold
The experience centre is located in the corner of Race Course in an old building that was around the late 1850s with a refurbished wooden staircase, high raised railings with wooden flooring and large mirrors. The main building hosts the brand’s wide range of ethnic apparels, jewellery, pottery, furnishings and other accessories. We should acknowledge that the fact that rather than building a high rise, Fabindia has worked around the old architecture and preserved the beauty.
Exciting enhancements
The Fabcafe with its all-day dining with a nutritious and traditionally inspired Indian cuisine is situated separately in the front. Adjacent to it is a new building housing Organic India’s wellness store with an array of organic products including oils, vinegar, honey and a vast range of tea for various purposes from detox, improved digestion, a glowing skin, joint aches, anti-ageing and of course weight loss. The wellness centre also has a virtual nutritionist to promote healthy conscious living and also for those who opt for the detoxing program which lasts for either seven or 21 days. Customers can choose from a wide variety of supplements made from herbal powder and capsules, smoothies which are made from a mix of herbs like harjor, sahijan and shatavari etc.

The interior design studio offers one-stop solutions for all your design customisation needs offering services such as consultancy on layouts, mapping spaces, and help create a colour scheme for products and places with an in-house designer who will help curate interior design for your home, work and recreational spaces.
Boss Babies
The experience centre also houses a kids section called Tugbug, which serves as an exclusive recreational area for children to with arts and crafts such as clay modelling, storytelling, puppet shows, painting and learn few environmentally conscious activities like gardening and recycling waste.
