Recharge your batteries and unplug from the daily grind at The Visiting Masters series presented by Kaya Kalp The Royal Spa at the ITC Grand Chola. The escape offers a curated holistic weekend to promote your well-being and aims toward striking a balance between the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. The retreat will be led by a renowned spiritual guide, author and joyologist from New Delhi, Ashtar Tashi.

“This wellness retreat brings together several paradigms, of which luxurious spa treatments is just one of them,” asserts Ashtar, giving ITC’s tagline of ‘Responsible Luxury’ a deeper meaning. The spa treatments are 60-minute sessions which are custom to a person’s requirements post an energy consult, and are intense therapeutic massages. Apart from extensive sessions on chakra cleansing and balancing, protective meditations and crystal therapy, guests will also be treated to aqua aerobics classes, and a 90-minute session on art therapy. “I will guide guests through an art media session which delves deeper into understanding your moods and helps in creating a sacred space of silence within. It’s a beautiful meditative therapy!” opines Ashtar, who though these sessions, will help people overcome their fears by giving them a free reign to paint their feelings on a canvas. The art is then framed, for you to take home as part of a giveaway hamper!

Nutritious and clean food is also an essential part of this holistic programme, so one can expect organic, gluten-free treats and brews, which are as delicious as they are healthy. “These include non-polished rice, millets, low on cholesterol, no starch, whole fruits, and lots of salads. The tea and coffee will be traded in for fresh and herbal juices, all sugar-free of course!” says Dr Mamtha Ismail, the spa manager. Also look forward to music recitals (hinting to a Sufi show!), a comprehensive spa offering and a series of spiritual consultations and physical evaluations to ensure that treatments and therapies are as helpful as possible. Leave feeling rejuvenated and inspired to continue your wellness journey long after your stay.

September 7 to 9. Rs. 36,000 plus taxes, for double occupancy at an executive club room.
