Electronic Entertainment Expo 2019 - a premium trade event for the video game industry that was held at the Los Angeles Convention saw the announcement of some of the biggest game releases for the year.

Out of all game trailers that were released earlier last week, here’s our pick of games that we are most excited about

Avengers A-Day

Marvel fans were hyped up when Square Enix announced its partnership with Crystal Dynamics and Eidos-Montreal for bringing out an Avengers video game in 2017. While they were still under the spell of what happened in Avengers: Endgame, despite being a while since the movie was released, the trailer for this game was released in E3 2019 and has invited a lot of response from fans across the world in the form of theories, and in-depth analysis. Featuring a completely different storyline, the game consists of the West Coast Avengers who disbanded after a tragedy strikes San Fransisco, reunite to fight a new terror which is set to attack their city. The game will be available on PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and PC on May 15, 2020.

Outriders

Outriders is the alien species used by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. It is doubtful if this game is a reference to the Outriders in the Marvel Universe. This game trailer was launched in E3 2019 and it is a modern-shooting 3-player game. It is developed by People Can Fly - the makers behind games like Bullet Storm and Gears of War: Judgement. It is made for PS4 and Xbox One. The release date for the movie is yet to be revealed.

Watch Dogs Legion

This game is an ambitious project in the Watch Dog series. The game is set in London and it is equipped with additional features like recruitment system and also the chance to play from an old lady’s point of view. The game has received positive reviews as it is made as a better version compared to the previous Watch Dogs versions. The game is set to release on March 6, 2020 in Stadia, X Box One, PC and PS4.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Although this game is not a serious attempt to retell the Star Wars movies, the trailer reveals elements from all the nine films as you play it in traditional Lego style. This game is expected to release after the final untitled film is out in theatres, thus keeping it safe from spoilers. It will be out for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Switch. The game's release date is yet to be announced.

Ghostwire: Tokyo

The trailer looks intense and it is set in a dystopian city. The game comes with an interesting tagline: Don’t fear the unknown. The trailer comes from Shinji Mikami- the man behind Resident Evil. This game allows the participants to be a part of the myths prevailing in the city too. Although the precise release date is not yet announced, it has been announced that it will be released for PS4, PC and Xbox One.

Cyberpunk 2077

Following the success of John Wick Chapter 3 - Parabellum, Keanu Reeves has ventured into Cyberpunk 2077 as "Johnny Silverhand"- a character who is installed in a chip that V (the protagonist) has on his head. The game is set to release on April 16, 2020 for XBox One, PS4 and PC. It can now be pre-ordered and it supports Nvidia RTX ray tracing. A collector's edition has also been released including merchandise like posters, digital wallpapers and keychains.
