MyU Bar

MyU Bar by Gilly’s Redefined is impossible to miss on 100 Feet Road in Koramangala. The 8,500 square feet space, divided into an open air section, a smoking zone and a dining area is right by the busy main road. We stepped in on a rainy afternoon to give it a try.

Keeping the weather in mind, we ordered a hot toddy and a cocktail called The Evening Shade, a refreshing concoction of vodka, orange and basil. Some of their signature cocktails include MyU Bar’s Mirchi, Hell to Heaven and English Monsoon.

The eight-page menu has a long list of appetisers, mains and desserts from all over the world. The appetisers consist of nibbles and quick bar eats. We were first served the Scamorza Stuffed Cheesy Mushroom. It’s the smoked mozzarella that made it a hit. Next we tried the crunchy Mushroom Cheese Kurkure, deep fried pockets of chopped veggies and mushrooms. The pillowy and crumbly Hare Matter Ke Shami, which we sampled next, were melt-in-the-mouth.

For those who love wings with their drinks, be sure to order the resto-bar’s signature Asian BBQ Chicken Wings, spicy and sweet at the same time. The Angara Kalmi Kebab is a must-try for drumstick lovers, spit roasted and gently spiced chicken legs. We also recommend the Chatpata Paneer Tikka and Prawn Ghee Roast.

Main check
Although the appetisers were quite filling, we could not wait to start on the main course. The Stuffed Chicken Roulade was served with a bacon and tequila cream, on a bed of mash. The cream was unique and a winning combo with the chicken. We also had the Singara Palak Paneer, which was a twist on the original dish because this one had water chestnuts added to it. Served with Missi Roti, we kept going back for seconds. The comforting Spicy Thai Green Curry was piquant and coconutty.

For something sweet to end our meal with, we were served the Caramel Custard and the 3- Minute Chocolate Cake. While the former was light and airy, the latter, served with a dollop of vanilla ice cream was a total mood elevator and the perfect note to end the lunch.
