Further strengthening their portfolio in the country, Harley-Davidson recently introduced two new Softail models, namely the Low Rider and the Deluxe. Both bikes boast of a stiffer, lighter frame, and come powered by the Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine that is known for its high torque output. Like the other Softail models, these new vehicles are touted to offer a riding experience that is better than their Big Twin 
predecessors.

At the very core of these bikes is a carbon steel tubular frame combined with the swingarm that is said to significantly improve rigidity and thus benefit the handling dynamics of the motorcycle. According to Harley-Davidson, the new chassis allows for increased lean angles, sharper turn-in response, quicker acceleration, and easier overall manoeuvrability thanks to its lightweight nature. 

Easy riders
While there is a lot of common ground amongst the two new models, the Low Rider stands apart with its 70’s custom chopper era styling. It gets a throwback style dual tank mount speedometer and tachometer, headlight visor, and fuel tank graphics. The Low Rider sits on 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels and boasts of a 2-into-2 Shotgun exhaust. The Deluxe has conceived as a hi-line showstopper that comes with a fair amount of chrome detailing to make it look the part.

The Milwaukee-Eight 107 V-Twin engine that powers these bikes is one of the most powerful engines ever offered by the American brand. The 1,745 cc unit retains its iconic 45-degree V angle and a broad-shouldered top end that accentuates the single camshaft design which tapers to a slim bottom end which also adds to the aesthetic appeal of the bikes. The Low Rider is priced at `12,99,000 and the Deluxe retails for `17,99,000.
