The iconic Porsche 911 has been around for 54 years. Recently, the one-millionth 911 rolled off the production line at the company’s Zuffenhausen facility and to commemorate the achievement, the car, which happens to be one of the current 911 Carrera S models, has been finished in a special Irish Green colour as well as numerous features that emulate the first 911 model from 1963.

Everyday drivability
Over the last five decades, the 911 has earned its place in motoring history and is a coveted collector’s item. It is a car that boasts of impeccable quality and driving pleasure that no other car can emulate. In fact, over 70 per cent of all the 911 cars ever sold are still in driving condition today. The car’s legendary build quality, timeless design and performance attributes have also been backed by the countless motorsport successes by the brand.

According to Porsche, out of the 30,000 race wins, over half of them can be credited to the 911 and we can assure you that is no small feat. While the car has evolved and improved over time, the very essence of the driving pleasure that is derived from it hasn’t changed. As for the one-millionth 911, it won’t be offered to any private collector, for Porsche is sending it out on a world tour before it finally comes home to be put on display at the Porsche Museum.
