Canadian singer and songwriter Claire Elise Boucher, known professionally as Grimes dropped her latest single named Violence with DJ/producer i_o. The video that features Grimes in eccentric costumes surrounded by sword-wielding dancers is quite in-line with the artiste's usual expression, and the music gives out a fairly good groove too. This single is a follow-up to her come back release, called We Appreciate Power released last year as well as the demo for the song Pretty Dark released earlier this year.

The artiste has been in the internet's purview for her relationship with technology entrepreneur, investor, and engineer Elon Musk after the duo were spotted by paparazzi in public on multiple emotions. She has also announced that her new album  Miss_Anthrop0cene will hit the floors this year. Her last album, Art Angels was released in November 2015. In 2016, she contributed the song Medival Warfare to the Suicide Squad soundtrack.
