It's a knockout! Cena proposes to Nikki in the ring

WrestleMania 33 saw the softer side of John Cena when he proposed Nikki Bella after the match against Miz and Marey

After dominating the WrestleMania 33 tie against Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag-team round, John Cena surprised his partner Nikki Bella on Sunday at the WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Florida. Cena has been dating Bella since 2012. He invited his real-life partner to the center of the ring and popped the question in front of more than 70,000 fans.

“I have been waiting so long to ask you this,” Cena said. “Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace, will you marry me?” She had nothing else but a clearl yes to say.

Cena had filed for divorce from his first wife back in 2012 and over the years he had made comments about his reluctance to enter into another marriage. 

Before the match on Sunday, Maryse, who has been married to Miz for three years now had taunted Bella about not being engaged to Cena. This led to speculation from fans that Cena might propose during the match.
