On the day of Captain Marvel’s release, piracy website TamilRockers strikes again as they release the film for download in HD, open to all people. The film directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck releases in theatres today as Brie Larson plays the lead Captain Marvel, who enters the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the very first time. 

Interestingly, this is not the first time that Tamil Rockers has struck, as Priya Prakash Varrier’s Oru Adaar Love and Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika have also been leaked on the day of the release. It has been reported that the latest releases have been release in English, Hindi and Tamil for all audiences in India, thus affecting sales in the country, which has a huge fanbase for the films. While many filmmakers have requested action against the website, they keep change their domain extension, making it difficult to figure out the path for the leaks. 

Captain Marvel has been co-written by directors Anna and Ryan with Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Jac Schaeffer. Being the first film to have a female lead in the Marvel Universe, it will also see Samuel L Jackson, Djimon Hounsou, Clark Gregg and Jude Law in important roles.
