Game of Thrones actor Sophie Turner tied the knot with American singer Joe Jonas in Las Vegas. The couple was in the city for the Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday night and they married each other in a surprise ceremony.
With Diplo live-streaming on Instagram, the couple said their “I do’s” and exchanged candy rings in front of an intimate group that included Jonas brothers. The 22-year-old GOT star wore a white v-neck outfit and a matching veil, while Joe was seen in a suit. The Billboard awards also marked the Jonas Brothers’ performance after a long gap.
The surprise wedding news comes about 18 months after the two announced their engagement with Instagram posts in October 2017, each sharing a picture of Sophie’s pear-shaped engagement ring. A few months ago, there were rumours about a summer wedding in France.
On the professional front, Sophie will next be seen in Dark Phoenix and GOT ends later this month.
