Robert Pattinson is believed to be Warner Bros lead candidate to play the next Batman for DC Comics. While Pattinson’s role has not yet been officially confirmed, Variety magazine says the Twilight star will take up the mantle of the Caped Crusader after Ben Affleck. The new movie which will be directed by Matt Reeves is set to hit the theatres on June 21, 2021.

The Warner Bros studio and Matt Reeves have been looking for an actor in their thirties and Robert Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult were considered for this iconic role but Pattinson is their top choice right now. If chosen, Pattinson will be the second youngest actor to play Batman after Christian Bale, who took on the role in 2012 in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises.
