Fans of the popular show Game of Thrones have been going crazy on social media after a Starbucks coffee cup was spotted at the table of the Mother of Dragons, in the latest episode of Season Eight - The Last of the Starks. Based on the size and shape of the takeaway cup, many fans assumed it was a Starbucks cup, and the hashtag #Starkbucks started trending on Twitter after the episode aired.
In a hilarious response to the goof up, the official Twitter account of Game of Thrones posted, "News from Winterfell. The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. #Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea." (sic)
Joining the bandwagon, the official account of Starbucks also posted on Twitter. "TBH we're surprised she didn't order a Dragon Drink." (sic)
Game of Thrones is currently in its final season, with the penultimate episode and a much-anticipated showdown between the Queens Cercei and Daenerys, set to telecast next week.
