Alliance Française du Bengale is organising the screening of two movies, Black Kiss (34 min) and Plastic & Glass (9 min) in order to encourage action for the protection of the environment. The French documentary will be followed by a talk by environmental activist Mallika Jalan. While Black Kiss has been directed by Mariette Mompierre, and deals with the story of how a fisherman fights environmental contamination from the use of highly powerful insecticide, Plastic & Glass is directed by Tessa Joosse, and shows the recycling process as a cinematic story.
