Awesome Assam released on Thursday a new tourism video featuring actress Priyanka Chopra to accompany the state’s new tourism policy that pays filmmakers to produce their films in Assam.

The new policy, announced on Wednesday, offers to pay one crore rupees to filmmakers who shoot a minimum of 25% of their film in Assam. 

Priyanka Chopra was signed by Assam Tourism Development as their brand ambassador in December of 2016. The promotional video, set to Assam’s state song, shows the actress in a traditional Assamese mekhela chador, dancing bihu, Assam’s state folk dance. 

The rest of the video takes viewers through various Assamese festivals, such as the Bihu harvest festival, and features some of the state’s beautiful scenery. The three minutes and thirty one seconds showcase the native faces and species of Assam.
