During the cold winters, my friends and I decided to go to Kamshet for the holidays. One of my friends was very excited because she had never gone on a trip alone before.

Her relatives were living in Pune which is quite near to Kamshet, and that made the travel a bit easier for us.

We were advised to book reliable and air-conditioned Mumbai to Pune cabs as it would be comfortable and safe. It turned out to be the right decision as it allowed us to drink in the sights as we travelled.

Roadtrip

That was our first road trip as a group. The ride was very comfortable, and it took about three and a half hours to get to Pune.

The highway was entirely free from traffic, so it helped us in avoiding delays. We even stopped at a dhaba on the way to freshen up.

Once in Pune, the cab dropped us at the designated location, and we freshened up and started planning our itinerary.

Kamshet here we come

The next day we set off for Kamshet on a train and took us about an hour to get there. Kamshet was a beautiful place and very laid-back which was quite refreshing.

We got to see the mud huts and village markets bustling with hawkers selling their handmade products. Next, we went to visit the Pawna Lake and Bedsa caves which people had told us so much about.

Another activity Kamshet is famous for is paragliding. Paragliding is where an arc-shaped parachute is attached to your back with no electronic controls. You go as the wind takes you.

Paragliding adventure in Kamshet

My friends were ready for paragliding, but I was not. Upon a friend's insistence, I finally gave in but made sure the instructor was with me all the time.

I must say it was a great decision to try as I felt like I was flying, free with not a care in the world. The wind to my face, it was a fantastic thing to do.

That night we had a slumber party. All of us girls in one room, talking and discussing how the day went by. My friends teased me that I was scared to paraglide. We had a blast.

Temples in Kamshet

The next day we covered the temples in the area. These were ancient temples and had heard a lot about them.

We decided to visit Datta Mandir, Badrinath temple and Vidweshvar temple as these were the most famous ones on our list.

Since we stayed in Pune, we got around the city in a cab. Since we were booking a lot of rides, we got to avail the cheapest Pune to Mumbai cab booking rates.

On our way back we again stopped at the same dhaba to freshen up before heading back home.

The trip was one of the most memorable ones I had taken to date, and I finally got to get out of my comfort zone.

In conclusion, if you are looking to plan a trip with friends nearby, then Kamshet would be an excellent choice to add to your itinerary.
