Malayalis are eagerly waiting for their biggest celebration—Onam. A bunch of millennial artists, however, has added a funny twist to their Onam celebration with a photoshoot to highlight the condition of roads in Kochi.
A picture of a model named Niya Sankarathil photographed by Anulal V is going viral. Niya is seen clad in traditional Malayali attire, preparing a pookalam (flower carpet) on a potholed road as a vehicle passes by. The location of the shoot is Panampilly Nagar, one of Kochi’s busy residential and commercial hubs.
The photograph has gone viral since Niya shared it on Facebook and Instagram yesterday. The youngster is active in modelling and is waiting for the release of two Tamil movies she has acted in. Her viral photoshoot is currently adding quirk to the buzz on media about the bad condition of roads in the city.
Recently, another video showing an astronaut walking the potholed roads of Bengaluru had spread like wildfire on social media.
