Canadian pop-star Shawn Mendes has released a new video for the track If I Can't Have You. The video dropped at midnight is his first solo output since his self-titled album released last year.

The romantic song which goes "everything means nothing if I can't have you" comes with a moody black and white video, which sees Mendes shifting from his position behind a mic to taking the seat behind a grand piano and to a gym.

The pop-song has been written with collaborators Scott Harris, Teddy Geiger and Nate Mercereau and he'll perform it for the first time on Saturday Night Live this Saturday (May 4).

The popular star is currently taking a break between the European and North America legs of his world tour.
