The Humming Tree, Bengaluru announces its closing

“It’s been a great 6 years and 4 months as a venue,” they said on their official Facebook page

The Humming Tree in Bengaluru was THE address for independent music and musicians, apart from being the hottest spot in town to party at. For the past six years, the venue gave space to young bands, brought down international acts, the likes of which Bengaluru has never seen and nurtured the music culture of the city. Unfortunately, on September 19 the venue announced its closure, due to rules regarding music licenses, in a heartfelt Facebook post. They thank their fans and patrons and add that, “We never expected to last this long and to be able to do it for so long…it’s been a genuine blessing.”
