Ilaiyaraaja has created melodies which delight our ears since the mid-1970s. After composing over 5000 songs, he still creates beautiful melodies. The legendary musician's talents grows no bounds as his songs are not just limited to Tamil, but other languages also. 

The Isaignani who is celebrated as the maestro of film music has been conferred the Padma Vibhushan Award by the central government. The award is the second highest civilian award of India and the entire film industry is delighted about it. 

His long career has served the entertainment industry for over forty odd years.After having won many accolades including five National Awards and the Padma Bhushan Award for the year 2010.
