Salman Khan's hearing on blackbuck case postponed to July 17th

The hearing was initially scheduled for today at Jodhpur, but Mahesh Bora, Salman's lawyer asked for more time.

The hearing of the 1998 blackbuck poaching case against Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been pushed to July 17th at the request of his lawyer. The hearing was initially scheduled for today at Jodhpur, but Mahesh Bora, Salman's lawyer asked for more time. 

Judge Chandra Kumar Songara, The district and session judge, has given the actor time till July 17th.

The Indian film actor has been accused of killing two blackbucks in 1998 on the set of the movie Hum Saath Saath Hain. Other actors, like Saif Ali Khan and Tabu, were cleared due to lack of evidence.  

Chief Judicial Magistrate Dev Kumar Khatri convicted Salman Khan and sentenced him to 5 years in prison. The 52-year-old actor spent only 2 days in jail after which he was out on bail.

Salman Khan is presently in Kashmir shooting for Remo D'Souza's Race 3 with Jacqueline Fernandez.
