Retired ACP Ved Bhushan who had earlier expressed his doubts about Sridevi's death being a planned murder, has now alleged that underworld don Dawood Ibrahim might be involved in it.

Reportedly, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, the hotel in Dubai where the late actress stayed the night she died is owned by Ibrahim. Bhushan also raised his suspicion on an insurance policy which is reportedly worth Rs 240 crore in Sridevi’s name in Oman, which had a clause saying it could only be encashed if the actress died in Dubai.

According to news sources, the ACP further alleged that when he asked the Dubai Police to hand over Sridevi's blood samples and reports of how much water had entered her lungs, the police apparently denied and gave him only the post-mortem report.

Reports also say that Bhushan is now planning to file an appeal in the Supreme Court on this investigation so that the death of Sridevi can be re-examined.
